Anthony Wayne is a seasoned entertainment lighting designer who began his journey in the industry in 2002 in the Washington D.C. and Baltimore area, where he honed his skills in programming automated lighting and providing lighting designs for a variety of local live events.

In 2011, he decided to take his career to the next level and relocate to the vacation destination of Honolulu, Hawai'i. It was there that he received the opportunity to program and rebuild the new show "Magic of Polynesia" as the first grandMA2 programmer in the Hawaiian islands. After a successful show opening, he became second in command, designer, and programmer at a large lighting production house on the island. He then freelanced for multiple local Honolulu companies providing lighting design, programming, media server, and video mapping services.

In 2014, Anthony took the position as the Lighting Director on a circus variety show in-the-round featuring international artists. He created extensive show programming on grandMA2 and developed the lighting and special effects for the show, as well as overseeing the venue lighting installation.

Aspiring to advance his growth in shows and have more work opportunities, Anthony decided in 2015 to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.

From 2015 - 2018, Anthony grew his clientele while fulfilling the roles of Lighting Designer, Director, and MA Programmer for Concerts, Touring, Brand Experiences, Corporate Events. 2019 was a busy year touring with an artist running both the lighting and media servers for a 106 stop worldwide tour. 2020 started full steam ahead with a high-energy E-Sports Broadcast Competition, which persisted even through the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During the extra time at home during COVID, he learned new technology potential for entertainment, including VR and XR environments. He was then able to utilize some of these skills to connect the real and virtual worlds during a time when large event gatherings were not possible, using what is now the forefront of production techniques. In the height of the pandemic, Anthony seized an opportunity to start a full service production company called Mesmeric Designs.

Anthony currently provides lighting and production design, programming for lighting & media servers, virtual 3D previs rendering, and show services to multiple clients for Mesmeric Designs for concerts, festivals, broadcasts, immersive experiential, special events, and tours. He works on a variety of industry-standard equipment and software, including MA2, MA3, MA3D, Disguise, Resolume Arena 7, WYSIWYG, Unreal Engine, Vectorworks 2023, Lightwrite 6, and more.

When not working, Anthony is passionate about photography and organic gardening. He loves spending time outdoors, surfing, snowboarding, or adventuring with his wife and their dogs.
